Chedoke Health Corporation
The Rehabilitation Program at Hamilton Health Sciences is much closer to having a new home thanks to a donation from Chedoke Health Corporation. A new facility, designed for specialized rehabilitation and acquired brain injury services, will be built at the Hamilton General Hospital. The facility will boast 91 inpatient beds plus ambulatory services and will bring together services currently located at the Chedoke site in 14 different buildings.
“We are proud to make this contribution and we are delighted with the benefits this new facility will bring to the community. We know this centre is urgently needed and it’s a fitting legacy to the long tradition of rehabilitation services offered by Hamilton Health Sciences.”
Paul Southall, President, Chedoke Health Corporation
The creation of one centre for specialized rehabilitation helps to ensure that patients receive rehabilitation in a timely and effective way. Rehab patients will no longer have to be transferred from the Chedoke site (where many of HHS’ inpatient rehab services are now located) to our other hospital sites for diagnostic testing or treatment.
Our sincere appreciation to Chedoke Health Corporation for their help in making life a little easier for our patients on their rehabilitation journey.
