Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life

he Critical Care Medicine program at McMaster University Medical Centre (MUMC) provides specialized care to critically ill patients from Hamilton and throughout the region.

Currently, pediatric and adult patients requiring critical care are treated in the same Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Through the redevelopment of MUMC’s ICU, separate care areas for adults and children will be created to meet the special needs of all our patients.

Thanks to a generous donation from Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life to the Cornerstone of Care Campaign, the Family Quiet Room in the Adult Intensive Care Unit will ensure there is a peaceful, private place to retreat to for family and friends visiting a loved one.
