Stelco War Veterans

On behalf of the patients and staff at Hamilton Health Sciences, we would like to thank the Stelco War Veterans Association for their gift in support of the redevelopment of our family of hospitals - Chedoke Hospital, McMaster Children's Hospital, Hamilton General Hospital, Henderson General Hospital, McMaster University Medical Centre and the Juravinski Cancer Centre.

Since 1848, our family of hospitals has been providing care to residents of our region. For many war veterans, the hospital was the first stop at home before returning to their families.

"We went to war to protect our community and our families, and so by giving to the hospitals, we are continuing with this goal," said Mr. Bierd, on behalf of the association.

This generous donation is another way that future generations will benefit from the efforts of the Stelco War Veterans Association. We are proud to accept this gift in honour of the thousands of men and women who have gone before us.
